The Minority Business Development Agency Program at SoBro
The MBDA South Bronx Minority Business Center provides business development technical services to eligible minority-owned firms, focusing on securing large public and/or private contracts, financing transactions, and importing and exporting. The center facilitates entry into global markets and helps with identifying export markets and overseas market promotion. The center’s mission is to promote minority-owned business enterprises’ growth through strategic partnerships and teaming arrangements. The center is committed to providing minority business owners with the knowledge, skills, and access to resources they need to grow and prosper. Since its inception, the center has helped minority-owned enterprises achieve more than $3.5 billion in financing and contracting transactions.

Business must be owned by one or more of the following groups: African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian and Pacific Islander Americans, Native Americans (including Alaska Natives), Asian Indian Americans, or Hasidic Jewish Americans.
Business concerns must have gross annual revenue of $1 million or above or be in a high-growth industry. However, depending on the firm’s vitality, consideration may be given if gross revenue is below the $1 million threshold.
Business concerns must complete and return a signed Client Engagement Form.
