Vice President, Workforce Development
Kerwin Rivera has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and leadership. He is dedicated to planning and implementing workforce development strategies through collaboration with stakeholders and is responsible for effectively communicating the vision, objectives, and results of workforce development strategies to partners and funders involved in the growth and success of programs and services in the Bronx and neighboring communities.
At SoBro, Rivera oversees and manages multimillion-dollar programs including program design and budget development for the adult and youth development division. He provides direct supervision to 15 staff members who serve more than 1,000 people annually through programs such as Career Pathways, Jobs to Build On, Wage Subsidy, Supplemental Nutritional & Assistance, YouthBuild, Adult Literacy Programs, and the NYC Human Resources Administration’s Back to Work and Work Progress Program.
