Community Revitalization

We bring together and build upon existing assets in local communities to improve the overall quality of life in the South Bronx. Our plan involves preventing and reducing crime and substance abuse, improving our streetscape and retail corridors, and assisting in the creation and expansion of small businesses. Some of our initiatives include:

Avenue NYC
We provide comprehensive support to targeted South Bronx districts through site specific development projects, marketing and streetscape design studies, facade improvement, development of merchant organizations and real estate development projects.

Entrepreneurial Development
We offer training, support and business development resources to start-up Bronx businesses and residents. Services include education in the basic principles of business and entrepreneurship, one-on-one business counseling and technical assistance in the areas of financing, management, marketing, government procurement and loan packaging.

Brownfield Opportunity Program
The Brownfield Opportunity Areas (BOA) Program is designed to assist communities foster redevelopment and return dormant and blighted land into productive and catalytic areas while restoring environmental quality.
