The New York Yankees award $15,000 to SoBRO

October 31, 2011: The New Yankees Stadium Community Benefits Fund, a philanthropic arm of the New York Yankees, has generously awarded a $15,000 grant in support of SoBRO’s Adult Education programs.

The New Yankee Stadium Community Benefits Fund, Inc. ("Fund") is a grant making not- for-profit that came into existence in conjunction with the construction of the new Yankee Stadium, solidifying the partnership between the Yankee organization and the people of the Bronx. The Fund was created for the purpose of providing funds to service the civic, socio-economic and/or educational needs of the communities of Bronx County.

This award will provide much needed support to SoBRO’s Adult Education programs and the residents of the South Bronx who are in dire need of basic educational services.
