M/WBE Certification Assistance Workshop
M/WBE Certification Assistance Workshop
Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) Certification Assistance Workshop
The Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise Program works to ensure the greater participation of minority and women-owned businesses in the New York City procurement process. Firms that have been in business for over one year and are at least 51% owned by a minority or a woman are eligible for this certification.
All certified firms are listed in the New York City Department of Small Business Services’ official Directory of Certified Businesses which can be accessed on-line at
www.nyc.gov/buycertified and is currently available to purchasing officers and contracting agencies. This means that your business will be listed online for all
Internet users to view!
Come to our free workshops and receive assistance in completing the M/WBE Certification application. We at SoBRO cannot stress the importance of having such a valuable certification so please don’t put off starting the application process any longer. This certification program has become an essential instrument in helping minority and women business owners gain access to New York City’s economic mainstream. This workshop is being held in conjunction with the annual Bronx Business Opportunities Expo, so in addition to learning about the M/WBE program, there will be plenty of opportunities to engage with the Bronx business community. See the calendar for more details about the Expo.
