SoBRO: South Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation

This year the GetGreen: South Bronx Earth Fest will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010, from 12-4PM at St. Mary's Park on the corner of St. Ann's Ave. and 146th St. This intergenerational event not only celebrates our precious environment, but also our community.

Information will be available on such topics as recycling, reuse, sustainability, and other green initiatives, as well as activities to raise awareness of these issues. Other entertainment will include various upbeat and inspiring youth performances from around the community and an eco-centered music contest.

GetGreen: South Bronx 2009 was a great success, with approximately 1,500 Bronx residents in attendance, and 40 organizations participating, including local businesses, elected officials, community & environmental groups, and members of the Hip Hop community. This year we're hoping for an even larger turnout with more activities and entertainment. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to support and change the environment you live in!
